The Body Shop - Almond hand & nail butter

The Almond hand and nail butter from the body shop is definitely one of the best hand creams out there. I have dry hands and the cuticles also get very dry and this butter is a life saver. It contains sweet almond oil and brazil nut oil, both of which has moisturizing properties.
Sweet almond oil is produced from almonds that are edible[bitter almond oil is from wild almonds]. Almond oil has excellent moisturizing property.Brazil nut oil hydrates and moisturizes the skin.
A combination of both in one hand cream  = happy hands :).

It is thick and creamy with a slightly sweet smell. It is not greasy and gets absorbed into the skin very easily. I keep washing my hands throughout the day and a tiny amount of this cream is required for me to keep my hands hydrated.

As stated on the lid, it is suitable for all skin types. A small amount is required to moisturize those dry cuticles and hands.

It is available in tubes (i guess its aluminium) with screw on tops;which is travel friendly; and for those who have hygiene issues.
Personally i feel there is product wastage if it is in a tube. The tube will look ugly (battered and crinkled and crushed) after sometime. But on the positive side, it is not a plastic tube.

I had tried the cranberry hand lotion also from the body shop but the almond hand butter was far far far better than that.

Final verdict: i love the almond hand butter and will definitely repurchase it.

Bourjois rouge edition velvet lipstick No. 12

I picked up this liquid lipstick during the recent sale in Boots. I have seen a lot of pics and reviews about the liquid lipsticks from Bourjois and I wanted to try one for a long time. They have a lot of shades to choose from and I ended up buying the No. 12 shade called beau brun. Now, the company promises light texture, extreme comfort and 24hour hold. It is packaged in a transparent tube and the cap color matches the lipstick shade (which is a big plus for me; you have an idea what the shade is before swatching rather than open up every tube to find out the color). That is how it looks once you open it. There is a 'chemical' smell which is annoying but is gone in a few seconds.The brush has a slant at the top and this makes the application of the lipstick a lot easier. With this brush, you can actually apply the lipstick tracing the lines of your lips without any bleeding and even the corners of your lips is easily reachable. The above pic

The INGLOT event

INGLOT had organised an event exclusively for their social media fans to celebrate 10 years of beauty. It was an invite to their store in Avenues Mall to experience their latest collections and makeup applications on Wednesday August 10, 2016. The invite was only to the first 200 who RSVPd to an email ID they had posted on Fb. I have always passed by their store and admired the colorful display of nail polishes and eye shadows but never really ventured to walk in and try the products.  Inglot store in Avenues We were received with a welcome drink and donuts :). I had fun walking around and swatching and trying again the lip shades, eye shadows and foundation. The crowd was huge. Hmm..who would want to miss to be a part of such an event.
