A stroll in Kuwait Zoo

The weather in Kuwait is lovely now. It is perfect for a visit to the zoo. 


 The entry fee is 0.500 fils for an adult.

What really bothered me was the people feeding the animals in spite of boards everywhere not to feed them. Seriously, can't you read! The monkeys,giraffes and peacocks are fed Pufak and kubboos. How horrible!
Then there are others who were teasing the poor animals; as if being in a cage was not enough torture for them.




There is a train that takes you around the zoo. You have to pay 0.500 fils per ticket (even for kids irrespective of age).

 It was a wonderful day out. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Ever since the American franchise, Quiznos, opened up in my work place, I wanted to try it out. They have subs, soups and salads. Quiznos doesn't have many branches in Kuwait. But one can order online through talabat . They do have a Facebook (Quiznos Kuwait), twitter  (quiznos_kw) and Instagram (quiznos_kw) accounts and a  website . Their hotline number is    188001. Their small subs are like 5 or 6 inches long and is more than enough to satiate you.  You can choose brown or white or jalapeno or rosemary Parmesan bread. Bourjois rouge edition velvet lipstick No. 12

I picked up this liquid lipstick during the recent sale in Boots. I have seen a lot of pics and reviews about the liquid lipsticks from Bourjois and I wanted to try one for a long time. They have a lot of shades to choose from and I ended up buying the No. 12 shade called beau brun. Now, the company promises light texture, extreme comfort and 24hour hold. It is packaged in a transparent tube and the cap color matches the lipstick shade (which is a big plus for me; you have an idea what the shade is before swatching rather than open up every tube to find out the color). That is how it looks once you open it. There is a 'chemical' smell which is annoying but is gone in a few seconds.The brush has a slant at the top and this makes the application of the lipstick a lot easier. With this brush, you can actually apply the lipstick tracing the lines of your lips without any bleeding and even the corners of your lips is easily reachable. The above pic

The INGLOT event

INGLOT had organised an event exclusively for their social media fans to celebrate 10 years of beauty. It was an invite to their store in Avenues Mall to experience their latest collections and makeup applications on Wednesday August 10, 2016. The invite was only to the first 200 who RSVPd to an email ID they had posted on Fb. I have always passed by their store and admired the colorful display of nail polishes and eye shadows but never really ventured to walk in and try the products.  Inglot store in Avenues We were received with a welcome drink and donuts :). I had fun walking around and swatching and trying again the lip shades, eye shadows and foundation. The crowd was huge. Hmm..who would want to miss to be a part of such an event.
