Himalaya herbals smoothing foot scrub

Image
This was one of those 'I-saw-it-on-the-supermarket-shelf-and-I-just-bought-it' kind of product. Himalaya brand has been in the market for long and I have been using the purifying neem face wash as long as I can remember.  We take a lot of effort to scrub and moisturise our face and body but the feet is always neglected.I have often seen ladies all dolled up till you see their feet - all dry and with cracked heels; and that just negates their whole dressing up. The scrub comes in the classic Himalaya packaging - white plastic tube with a green plastic cap. It claims to give you soft and supple feet in 7 days. The expiry date is 12 months from the date of opening. It has walnut and pineapple extracts that gently scrub off rough and dry skin; apple and lemon extracts gently remove dead skin; aloe vera and coconut extracts smooth the skin. To use: massage onto wet feet in circular motion. Rinse well. Use daily as part of bath/shower routine. The sc...

Tawas - an all natural deodorant

Image
Ever since I read about deodorants and their side effects, I have been on the search for an all-natural deodorant. Coconut oil can be used since it has antibacterial properties. Just apply a small amount after bath and when you wake up you will not have smelly underarms. But once you start sweating, you end up smelling but not as bad. But then it fails totally when you do some heavy duty work like exercise. Another option is mixing equal amounts of baking soda, corn flour and coconut oil. This concoction does work but it takes time for the body to get adjusted for it to work for you. And then too, it isn't effective during exercise. And again my search was on. It was during a casual talk with a friend that she mentioned about Tawas and how she was using it as a deodorant. I couldn't wait to try it out and bought it the same day :) This is how the packaging is.  A small see through container filled up to the brim. There are scented and non-scented var...

UNE nail polish - C23

Image
I heard of this beauty brand from a friend of mine. She was raving about their lipsticks and so I had to check it out and bought the L09 lip color. I am totally in love with it. It's one shade which suits my skin tone. And on a second visit, I bought the nail polish 'C23'.  The company refers to its product by numbers rather than names.  [This is the link to UNE website.] The company is promoting it's products as 'natural' - a tagline which I always fall for.  Come on, who doesn't like the stuff that one applies on the body to be, natural.  It has a double cap system.  The brush is broad and thick - very easy to swipe on the nail. It is printed on the bottle that the product is 75.2% of natural origin.  Now why 75.2% and not a whole number!!!! Now that is confusing. But I can live with a nail polish which has 75% natural stuff :) :). UNE claims that this is a 3 in 1 nail color i.e. it's base+color+shine all comb...
