UNE nail polish - C23

I heard of this beauty brand from a friend of mine. She was raving about their lipsticks and so I had to check it out and bought the L09 lip color. I am totally in love with it. It's one shade which suits my skin tone. And on a second visit, I bought the nail polish 'C23'. 
The company refers to its product by numbers rather than names.

 The company is promoting it's products as 'natural' - a tagline which I always fall for. 
Come on, who doesn't like the stuff that one applies on the body to be, natural.






 It has a double cap system. 
The brush is broad and thick - very easy to swipe on the nail.

 It is printed on the bottle that the product is 75.2% of natural origin. 
Now why 75.2% and not a whole number!!!! Now that is confusing. But I can live with a nail polish which has 75% natural stuff :) :).




UNE claims that this is a 3 in 1 nail color i.e. it's base+color+shine all combined.

The consistency of the nail polish is quite thick. 
One coat can give you a really good coverage. It also doesn't take very long to dry.

 And the nail polish will last for about 4 days without any chipping (which is a great plus for me). So, yep, their claim is true.



I am very happy with my purchase and next on my list is the nail polish C05.

Ever since the American franchise, Quiznos, opened up in my work place, I wanted to try it out. They have subs, soups and salads. Quiznos doesn't have many branches in Kuwait. Bourjois rouge edition velvet lipstick No. 12

I picked up this liquid lipstick during the recent sale in Boots. I have seen a lot of pics and reviews about the liquid lipsticks from Bourjois and I wanted to try one for a long time. They have a lot of shades to choose from and I ended up buying the No. 12 shade called beau brun. Now, the company promises light texture, extreme comfort and 24hour hold. It is packaged in a transparent tube and the cap color matches the lipstick shade (which is a big plus for me; you have an idea what the shade is before swatching rather than open up every tube to find out the color). That is how it looks once you open it. There is a 'chemical' smell which is annoying but is gone in a few seconds.The brush has a slant at the top and this makes the application of the lipstick a lot easier. With this brush, you can actually apply the lipstick tracing the lines of your lips without any bleeding and even the corners of your lips is easily reachable. The above pic

The INGLOT event

INGLOT had organised an event exclusively for their social media fans to celebrate 10 years of beauty. It was an invite to their store in Avenues Mall to experience their latest collections and makeup applications on Wednesday August 10, 2016. The invite was only to the first 200 who RSVPd to an email ID they had posted on Fb. I have always passed by their store and admired the colorful display of nail polishes and eye shadows but never really ventured to walk in and try the products.  Inglot store in Avenues We were received with a welcome drink and donuts :). I had fun walking around and swatching and trying again the lip shades, eye shadows and foundation. The crowd was huge. Hmm..who would want to miss to be a part of such an event.
