The Body Shop Almond handy manicure set

I love the almond hand and nail butter from The Body Shop (TBS). So when I came across the manicure set , I just grabbed it. :) 


It is packaged in a rectangular tin with an easy to open lid. Nothing fancy here. Minimal effort is required to open the tin. 





The tin carries a 100 ml almond hand and nail cream, a nail clipper, a nail buffer and a nail file.  So, that's my favourite hand cream and a manicure set and it retails for 4KD. Super affordable when you try to add up the price of each when bought separately. Yeah baby...I am buying it. 

The nail clipper is of really good quality. No complaints regarding the nail buffer and nail file too. My most needed stuff is all put in a box - now I don't have to run helter skelter searching for a nail clipper or a nail file.


As you can see from the picture, the tin is about 1.5 inches deep.

I would say, if you remove the plastic that holds the items, there is more room in the tin for some hair clips and lip balms or lipstick or nail polishes. A reusable tin indeed. It can serve as a mini make up kit which can be hid in your desk drawer at work ;)

It makes a good gift too for your BFF :)

Ever since the American franchise, Quiznos, opened up in my work place, I wanted to try it out. They have subs, soups and salads. Quiznos doesn't have many branches in Kuwait. Bourjois rouge edition velvet lipstick No. 12

I picked up this liquid lipstick during the recent sale in Boots. I have seen a lot of pics and reviews about the liquid lipsticks from Bourjois and I wanted to try one for a long time. They have a lot of shades to choose from and I ended up buying the No. 12 shade called beau brun. Now, the company promises light texture, extreme comfort and 24hour hold. It is packaged in a transparent tube and the cap color matches the lipstick shade (which is a big plus for me; you have an idea what the shade is before swatching rather than open up every tube to find out the color). That is how it looks once you open it. There is a 'chemical' smell which is annoying but is gone in a few seconds.The brush has a slant at the top and this makes the application of the lipstick a lot easier. With this brush, you can actually apply the lipstick tracing the lines of your lips without any bleeding and even the corners of your lips is easily reachable. The above pic

The INGLOT event

INGLOT had organised an event exclusively for their social media fans to celebrate 10 years of beauty. It was an invite to their store in Avenues Mall to experience their latest collections and makeup applications on Wednesday August 10, 2016. The invite was only to the first 200 who RSVPd to an email ID they had posted on Fb. I have always passed by their store and admired the colorful display of nail polishes and eye shadows but never really ventured to walk in and try the products.  Inglot store in Avenues We were received with a welcome drink and donuts :). I had fun walking around and swatching and trying again the lip shades, eye shadows and foundation. The crowd was huge. Hmm..who would want to miss to be a part of such an event.
